Marriott Hotels have created a new rewards scheme. They want it to stand out from the crowd, so they decided to call it something that people can say to each other in a TV advert. Nothing else is said, but that word, over and over again.
It’s a cross between ‘banzai’ and ‘hurrah’ and they’re so sure it’s going to catch on, they’ve even trademarked it.
Isn’t it obvious? It’s a shortened down version of bon voyage, which is what we all say when we want to wish someone going on a trip a happy time. Clever, eh?
