Sufi-scient Wisdom from the 20th Century

Hazrat Inayat Khan (July 5, 1882 – February 5, 1927)

Here’s a wisdom teacher I never heard of before. He was a Sufi master. He was wise.

To discover the light and power latent within all human beings, that is the secret of all religion, the power of mysticism, and the essence of philosophy, without interfering with customs or belief.

The Message is to make humanity conscious of the words in the Bible, where it is said ‘We live and move and have our being in God’, to realize this and recognize the kinship of humanity in the realization of God.

This is not the time to advance any particular sect, church, or belief. We have too many sects. They are only outer forms. The things that really matter are deeper.

Hazrat Pir-o-Murshid Inayat Khan

Lars Muhl had a particularly difficult spiritual experience on Montsegur, and the only thing that brought him back from the ‘brink’ was this man’s image. Are they connected?

The two-handed Yod makes me think so: Khan’s ‘natal’ Sun and Neptune are pointing to Lars’ Ascendant, while Lars’ ‘natal’ Neptune and Ascendant are pointing to Khan’s Neptune. So the common planet is Neptune.

Neptune in Taurus (1874-1889)

This placement will not occur again in this century. It indicates that the children born at this time have a very different idea of practical reality. They try to live according to much more abstract and spiritualized beliefs about material resources and their proper uses. Probably these children are much less practical than other generations, and they idealize nature and the things of the earth.

Neptune in Libra (1943-1957)

This placement will not be repeated in this century. One of the main features of this generation, the age group of various countercultures, is their idealization of relationships. However, the individual’s commitment to the relationship is less strong. More recently, this group has been at the forefront of the spiritual revival, which has created new kinds of social groupings, such as communes.

But Is Lars Inayat Reborn?

Because Khan’s death chart is randomized, I cannot totally rely upon any aspects occurring between the Ascendant and Midheaven in his chart and Lars’ birth chart.

But between them, there are some Moon connections: Lars’ Moon is opposite Khan’s ‘fatal’ Ascendant, so not conclusive. But Lars’ North Node is conjunct Khan’s Moon.

Plus Khan’s ‘fatal’ Mars in Taurus is opposite Lars’ Sun/Venus conjunction in Scorpio. Now that may signify something significant between them. So far in his book, The O Manuscript, Lars has not explained what that significance might be. We’ll keep an eye out for that. But, in the meantime, here’s an image which might lend a clue:
