Starlight Meter

Sometimes (most times), when a message is being transmitted through a dream, the idea is disguised in several ways, in order to bypass the ego’s censoring (sensoring?) methods. In last night’s dream, I got hold of a light meter (not dissimilar to the image above), and was taking readings of starlight emissions.
By itself, this segment would have been something I might ignore when I wake in the morning. But there was a twist to the story: by placing my hands on the tummy area of the woman sitting next to me in the auditorium, I could read the intensity of moonlight she was absorbing. Really? I didn’t know the woman, even in the dream, but she was most obliging, although risking her reputation by taking part.
Does any of this make sense to any of you?
Then this song came to mind. (Has it really been six years since David Bowie died?)
Let’s Dance
Let’s dance
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
Let’s dance
To the song they’re playin’ on the radio
Let’s sway
While color lights up your face
Let’s sway
Sway through the crowd to an empty spaceIf you say run
I’ll run with you
And if you say hide
We’ll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall into my arms
And tremble like a flowerLet’s dance
Let’s dance
For fear your grace should fall
Let’s dance
For fear tonight is all
Let’s sway
You could look into my eyes
Let’s sway
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlightAnd if you say run
I’ll run with you
And if you say hide
We’ll hide
Because my love for you
Would break my heart in two
If you should fall into my arms
And tremble like a flowerLet’s dance
David Bowie
Put on your red shoes and dance the blues
Let’s sway
Under the moonlight, this serious moonlight
Let’s dance
Let’s dance
Let’s dance, dance, dance
Ah: ‘under the moonlight, this serious moonlight.’

Here’s another song that might have been referenced by my dream: Starchild (by BLISS) https://youtu.be/MpcmK99uPz0
