Once a Poet, Always a Poet?

Dante Alighieri (died September 14, 1321)

A face only a mother could love…

Blame my calendar again:

On this day in 1302, the poet Dante Alighieri is exiled from Florence, Italy.

Maybe I’m taking all of this astrology stuff too personally, but you’d be forgiving of me if you saw what I saw when I raised this event chart:

So, two things: the Sun was sitting on the “Angel” gate when this happened; and that’s a mighty strong conjunction between Mercury, Mars and Pluto (all at 22° Aquarius). There is but one inconjunct.

Moon Inconjunct Jupiter

This aspect indicates that you have a positive, optimistic outlook on life, and you enjoy socializing with good friends. However, there are some dangers with this aspect. First, it can be a sign that you are self-indulgent and possibly even selfish, although this is not likely to happen if you have a good, strong relationship with your mother. You have a great need to be cared for and supported, to be accepted for what you are with no strings attached. If this need is fulfilled, the positive side of this aspect will flourish. But if your mother does not support your needs fully, you will feel insecure and will look elsewhere for support and fulfillment. In this case your concern will be totally for yourself with little though for other people’s needs.

Dante’s birth date is approximately between May 21 and June 20, 1265. On a hunch, I chose May 31 (OS) which equates to June 7th (NS). The timing of his birth is randomized. As for his death, that is better known, although I set the time for 12 noon.

The reason I am inserting myself into the equation of his life is directly related to the fact that the event inconjunct connects the Moon and Jupiter, the two energies that were released in this present life at the Divine Gates of Scorpio and Aquarius. Plus, I’ve attempted a Terza Rima, too. Dante originated the poem’s format.

Any questions?

The poem “Lonesome” seems to demonstrate how the Moon Inconjunct Jupiter energy played out in my life in 1975. The Moon and Jupiter are linked to the Gates of the Avatars (gatekeepers).
