Canada Geese in Formation Flying Low over Our House

Now, you know that this is a stylized representation of what it was like. We were sitting in our neighbours’ back yard at about 9:30 last night, having a beer and talking about this and that. Suddenly a chorus of honks alerted us to the low flight of a “V” formation of Canada Geese. They flew right over our house! I’d never seen them so low. Immediately following them was another formation but this time flying over the back garden fence. (No doubt they were winging their way to Little Lake Park, where they bed down for the night.) It was a once in a lifetime occurrence.
