Do You Know (Where) Your Future Lies?

The Real Armageddon

There are so many wishes hoping to be fulfilled that it would seem that the world wants to be over and done with this ‘experiment’. Why? What if the Biblical prophecy, as spelled out in the Revelation of St. John, was actually the fevered imagination of one man who had a Near Death Experience, after fasting for an extended length of time in 1st Century Palestine? And what if the events he saw actually happened when the Romans captured the city of Jerusalem in 66 AD and the Temple was destroyed?

I know, I know: I’ve written about this before, but I cannot help but question our collective fantasy.

Of all the illustrations surrounding this ‘future’ event, this one seems to show two gargoyles at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris witnessing a fireball (meteor) falling on the city. That doesn’t bode well for the upcoming Olympic Games there, does it? So, because of the collective focus, it behooves us all to stop hoping for something horrible to happen. (A near-miss one week ago is a case in point.)

No, it’s not coming. It’s been here for more than two thousand years.
