Our Toyota Corolla is 7.5 years old. For seven of those years, she has had a sheltered garage to sit out winter storms and deep freezes. This winter is the first that she’s braved the outdoors. In the last two weeks, her engine has frozen three times so much that the battery wouldn’t turn it over. Yesterday morning, the battery completely died. This morning the CAA came to give our dead battery a boost. Luckily, it worked.

Just in case, we’ve purchased a brand new battery, which will be installed today. We are also considering a block heater for the engine, just in case. Hopefully, this will renew Ruby for another five years.
