Captain Marvel, Jr (February 24, 1943)

It was something that all young boys did: style themselves on a comic book superhero. In Elvis’ case, he admired Captain Marvel, Jr, so much that he even coiffed his hair with the same forelock. I wondered if I could chart a particular cover that would be significant to the King. This one came up on Wikipedia.

I love it when a Yod turns up: this one is pointing at the Sun and is formed by inconjuncts to Neptune and Pluto. Talk about being inspiring to someone’s personality.

Elvis would have been 8 years old when this comic was published. That’s prime superhero worship age.
Elvis’ Sun/Mercury conjunction is conjunct the Comic’s Mars/Part of Fortune conjunction; Elvis’ Moon is conjunct the Comic’s Sun; Elvis’ Mars is conjunct the Comic’s Moon; Elvis’ Saturn is conjunct the Comic’s South Node; and the Comic’s Ascendant (for noon) is in opposition to Elvis’ Ascendant.
I suspect Elvis thought that Captain Marvel, Jr. was his (secret) alter-ego. Hmm.
He even looks like Elvis… If you want more proof, check this out:
