On Both Sides of the Political Divide, Everywhere

Wishful Thinking

Right now, three countries that I know of are gearing up for a General Election. In the States, it looks like it could be a Biden-Trump rematch; in Canada, Pierre Poilievre hopes to unseat Justin Trudeau, finally; and in the U.K., Labour seems to be heading for a landslide over the Tories, the first since 1997.

Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose

But everyone’s keeping their fingers crossed, for good luck, just in case, especially the Main Stream Media. Why is everyone so ‘invested’ in the “right” outcome?

And just to make the point even clearer:

The Republic of the United States of America may be entering the Imperial stage of its journey to eventual dissolution. But will it ever truly be an Empire? I wonder.
