Howard Carter (May 9, 1874 – March 2, 1939)

I have Cash Peters to thank for this post. Here’s his YouTube video about Howard Carter and the Tutankhamun Curse:

I did Carter’s birth chart before I finished watching the video. The timing is randomized and the resulting Uranus/Ascendant conjunction seems to confirm what Cash was explaining.

That inconjunct linking the Moon and Jupiter may also be indicative of his need to explore antiquities.

This aspect indicates that you have a positive, optimistic outlook on life, and you enjoy socializing with good friends. However, there are some dangers with this aspect. First, it can be a sign that you are self-indulgent and possibly even selfish, although this is not likely to happen if you have a good, strong relationship with your mother. You have a great need to be cared for and supported, to be accepted for what you are with no strings attached. If this need is fulfilled, the positive side of this aspect will flourish. But if your mother does not support your needs fully, you will feel insecure and will look elsewhere for support and fulfillment. In this case your concern will be totally for yourself with little thought for other people’s needs.

But it might also explain his single-minded pursuit of a goal to find some Egyptian treasure, for fame and fortune. The Saturn in opposition to his Uranus/Ascendant conjunction would have been symbolic of the difficulties he had with all authority figures in government and the class system in Britain.

The Opening of Tutankhamun’s Tomb (November 26, 1922)

I’ve often wondered if the Universe acts like a magic combination lock. When the time is right, the lock will be opened. In this case, since we know the time and place, we can view the energies of the day.

Notice that there is a Cosmic Cross evident in this event chart: the Ascendant opposite Saturn; Pluto opposite the Midheaven. By itself, this chart does not explain how the lock was opened. We need to combine it with Carter’s birth chart to make any sense of how epic this really was.

Do you see what I mean? There are two connected interlocking Yods: one is pointing at the event Midheaven; the other is pointing at Carter’s Uranus/Ascendant conjunction. Individually, the event Jupiter is transiting Carter’s South Node, and the event Mars is transiting Carter’s Moon. That makes me wonder if Carter is actually Tutankhamun reincarnated, so (perhaps) the curse doesn’t apply to him because he was just reclaiming what was already his from that previous life. However, because we have no birth or death details for that Egyptian pharaoh, we can only speculate about their karmic links. But as the following quote demonstrates, Howard Carter was aware of the significance of the discovery and the implications of the Curse.
