The Family Affair that Became a BBC Comedy Hit

Mrs. Brown’s Boys (2011 – 2025)

Our Bell internet modem bit the dust on Wednesday, so we had to revert to a boxset of DVDs that we’d never opened before. For three nights, we laughed ourselves silly with seasons one to three of the BBC show. It’s clever slapstick, wordplay and homilies from the master comedic writer Brendan O’Carroll.

He got the family involved. It became the best business venture for them all. Here’s a sampling of the mayhem involved:

Don’t mind the swearing. That’s really part of the humour.
