Look Within

Knowledge of oneself can provide valid

Insights into Man’s purpose in the world.

Never before has he needed the ‘Id’,

Generally misunderstood, unfurled

Deep within, to be raised on the flag pole

Of Life, so that the ‘Ego’ can salute

Man’s true heritage, not the damned Black Hole

Of Calcutta where he’s been a deaf-mute.

Heaven can’t help us if we turn a blind

Eye to the truth: we don’t know anything

And yet feel smug about Power of Mind;

Vacuums can’t hear the songs the spirits sing!

Each must look within, see the Holy Light:

Nothing brings us closer to our birthright.
