Scam Robocalls: You Know Who You Are

robocall

I’ve thought about doing this for a while now. Since there are no laws against it, fraudsters have found a way to harass you and maybe defraud you, all without leaving their home offices. In the States, the law prohibits this.

I have learned to block the scammers’ phone numbers, but somehow a couple of them still manage to get through to leave a voicemail on my cellphone. Usually, there is no message left, just blank air, but once in awhile, I get to hear breathing/music/phone noises. Oh, and one of the more forceful actually left a message with my name at the beginning. (I’m not fooled by that, since, for $19.99 per month, anyone can find out who has which cellphone number…)

The Naughty List

97 times since July 2019: 1-705-675-1061

21 times since December 2019: 1-705-566-1167

18 times since March 2020: 1-416-673-1299

12 times since February 2020: 1-705-664-1176

5 times since January 2020: 1-866-512-8812

5 times since November 2019: 1-705-881-9750

3 times since February 2020: 1-289-318-0495

2 times since March 2020: 1-647-955-5953

And these are the one’s that have only rung me since the beginning of the year. Previous calls were deleted from my call lists going back to the beginning of 2019. Since I don’t engage any of them, I wonder why they keep calling.

This is my not-so-subtle revenge.
