Today’s Lesson: Don’t Buy a Lottery Ticket during a Full Moon

Lotto 649 – July 24, 2021

I had a dream (during the full moon) that I won $7.2 million. In the dream, I had the cheque, but couldn’t find a bank where I could deposit it. The theme was that I was too late.

In relating the dream to my wife, she suggested that maybe it was a sign that I should buy a lottery ticket. Because I usually don’t play the lotteries anymore, I hesitated. Then I went out and bought one, anyway, because you never know.

As it was a ‘quick pick’ I didn’t select the numbers, the lottery computer did, so I had no input into the result. It was about 1:15 pm when I got back into the car.

My ticket is shown above. I like the symmetry of 24 and 42, plus the all-important 27 (7.2 reversed). I thought it might have a chance.

In the end, only the bonus number 35 matches my numbers, the rest weren’t even close.

So, it must have been lunacy to think I could win, or else, I was replaying my version of “Waking Ned Devine“, a film we’d watched last week. Such is the irony. Wake me up!
