Why You Cannot Outmaneuver Your Destiny

It might seem a bit too simplistic to equate Trump with Oedipus, but there is something about trying to escape judgement and destiny that does ring true. I’ll let Ari Melber explain this in his show “The Beat”:

In short, Trump’s attempt to avoid any legal troubles until after the 2024 Presidential Election, by jumping into the race so early on has given the DOJ time to build a case or two against him about his past crimes. So, effectively, by trying to avoid legal jeopardy, he has placed himself in it.

Doesn’t he know that none of this would have happened if he’d just quietly withdrawn from public view and went into his later years in retirement? Foolish man: you cannot outmaneuver your destiny.
