Door-stopped by Two Young Jehovah’s Witnesses, Today
It’s not the first time that JWs have come knocking on my door, and it probably won’t be the last. But I take my inspiration to write from anywhere and everywhere. Today’s question and pamphlet are noted in the image above (copyright 2014 Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania).
I suspect that the worries that everyone is having about today’s world is the impulse behind these two missionaries going door-to-door in our neighbourhood. I’ll bet they didn’t expect to encounter someone like me. It’s a first-hand education, for sure.
Or, in my own jargon, based on Gnostic traditions: As Above, So Below.
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:33 KJV
In other words, don’t wait for the world to end, or your own death, to absorb the Kingdom of God.

As a twist in the tale, Gurdjieff had a theory about this: what he said was that angels may in fact be aliens who feed off our energies. That’s a scary thought, for sure. In his Philosophy of Nature, he named it trogoautocratic law, meaning it “refers to an open system dependent on external, higher forces. A system under trogoautoegocratic law will submit to a process of transmutation in order to sustain indefinitely. Transmutation is the generation of heat and light through conscious works and voluntary sacrifice.” (Gnosis Muse)
