Joe Manchin (August 24, 1947)

There’s been a lot of speculation lately that Joe Manchin is not running for the US Senate in 2024 because he’s wants to try winning the White House instead. He thinks, as a small ‘c’ conservative Democrat, that he can unite middle-of-the-road voters behind his cause. But, excuse me for saying so, isn’t ageism going to work against him, too?

Warning, this chart’s timing is randomized. (Most astrology sites use 12 noon, because his birth time is unknown.) What I like about this birth chart is the 12th House (of the Unconscious) Moon conjunct a Sagittarius Ascendant, which demonstrates his emotions running hot and cold at the same time. Perhaps he doesn’t have the temperament to be the President of the United States of America. There are no inconjuncts (in this chart), so no hidden agendas: what you see is what you get.

Whoa! I didn’t expect to see so many inconjuncts between the two charts. This suggests too many problems to be overcome without a true sense of connection between the two. This is not a sign that Joe Manchin would win in 2024. But, as has been mooted by others, he may prove to be the spoiler for Biden and/or Trump, should they ultimately prove to be the presidential candidates for their parties.
