Paper Lion (1968)
Having a long memory can be a blessing and a curse. In this instance, it is definitely a blessing.
In 1963, George Plimpton, attempted to quarterback the Detroit Lions in an NFL game. He then published a book about the experience in 1966, called “Paper Lion”. You wouldn’t call it a runaway success, neither the book nor the attempt. But when it came out as a sports film in 1968, people began to take notice.
But what about the man himself?
George Plimpton (March 18, 1927 – September 25, 2003)

What can you say about a man who tries just about anything once and then writes about it, that he hasn’t already said himself? All I can do is look at his birth chart.

This time is not considered reliable, but all astrology sites, including my Kepler 7.0 program lists it as 10 pm. I’ll go with that, but must remind the reader that any aspects to the Moon, the Ascendant or Midheaven may be incorrect. There are two inconjuncts, only one of which I can rely upon.
Sun Inconjunct Neptune (definitely)
You are very sensitive to your environment and to the people around you. On one level of your being, you feel what is going on very acutely. Unfortunately your understanding often comes in terms that are very difficult to communicate to others, because their meaning is not clear in your own mind.
(Didn’t he mention this in the video of “Plimpton!”?)
Mars Inconjunct Ascendant (perhaps)
Learn to work for the good of others by making their objectives your objectives, whenever possible. This aspect can signify the ability to accomplish a great deal, as long as you do not spend all your time and energy feeling angry or resentful about seemingly undeserved defeats. When you have a real goal to work toward that you can share with others, you will be able to attain that goal.
(Hmm. Maybe this is real.)
