Not Surprisingly, She was Celine Dion’s Inspiration

Maria Callas (December 2/3, 1923 – September 16, 1977)

There is a certain irony that comes from watching a gut-wrenching documentary like I Am Celine Dion. The irony is that you discover that her inspiration was Maria Callas. Well, in the grand scheme of things that shouldn’t really be a surprise, but it caught me off-guard. The internal irony is that Celine is now experiencing what Maria did in the final years of her life: the inability to continue singing like she did when she was younger.

Initially, I was going to compare their birth charts, but then abandoned the idea when there are conflicting details of her actual birth date, and her birth time is unknown. (Most astrology sites list it as December 3 @ 6 AM, but Wikipedia states that her birth date as December 2.) And, again, I’m faced with the possibility that Celine might be Maria reborn, but nine years before Maria died. This has happened before, in my experience, but it makes it kind of messy when I’m trying to astrologically ‘prove’ the fact.

Allow, instead, a couple of images to show you the similarities.

And their autographs:

In truth, they are not the same person, in two separate bodies, but they seem to have the same animating spirit, with a difference: one hated being made to be a singer from childhood; the other wanted to be on stage from an early age. Perhaps the difference is down to having a normal upbringing, or not.

Hmm.
