Paranoia: This Show is All About a Storm in a…

Teacup (2024)

This is a human horror show about alien visitors. We’re halfway through the first (and only) season. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, unless you’re interested in how paranoia can spread in a small rural community in the southern United States.

In episode 5, “I’m a Witness to the Sickness” Travis explains how he became a believer in the evil presence in their neighbourhood. It’s a study in how a person can get sucked into a vortex of conspiracy theories and otherworldly events. It doesn’t end well.

Sometimes, you have to wonder why shows such as this one are put out for public consumption. My only guess is that it is a harbinger to a supposed disclosure of an alien ‘invasion’. We are being primed to fight with all our might against ‘them’. Well, that may be the disinformation speaking.

But who really knows?
