“Love is Love, and Not Fade Away”

Spoiler Alert (2022)

I am not a fan of films about gay people. This one was suggested by a member of my wife’s family who has gone through a similar ending with her husband and father of her children. That made it personal.

As it is based on a true story, most of the film covers the highlights in a fairly straightforward way, but some of the intimate details got blurred, as you can see if you follow the link above. Strangely, the actor who played Kit looks just like him, but Michael is played by Jim Parsons (of Big Bang Theory fame), who is the same height as Kit, several inches taller than Michael.

I was warned to get the tissues out for the ending. I didn’t need them, because “love is love, and not fade away.”
