What “Eyes Wide Shut” Tells Us About Its Director

Stanley Kubrick {July 26, 1928 – March 7, 1999)

I can honestly say that I’ve seen most of Stanley Kubrick’s films, but not all of them. I never saw “Eyes Wide Shut” on purpose, because of the implied Satanic ritual near the end. But is it any different than “Rosemary’s Baby” by Roman Polansky? We have a silent fear that the Devil may actually be the Demiurge, the ruler of this physical world.

Most astrology sites have 1:41 pm or no time. They have overlooked an important clue: Kubrick married his first wife when he was only 19. Placing Venus at that point in his chart gives us a 9 pm birth time, and reveals a dynamic that makes the most sense about the man.

Mercury (conjunct to Pluto in Cancer) is inconjunct to Saturn near the cusp of his Midheaven (conjunct to the South Node). I’m not surprised that he had no interest in school. At the same time, Pluto is inconjunct his Aquarius Ascendant, and Jupiter is inconjunct to the Midheaven. The future fastidious director of motion pictures is highlighted here. Neptune and Venus flanking each side of his Descendant gives the paranoid feeling of his secretive nature.

Swan Song, indeed. One day I’ll watch the whole film, but until then, I’ll leave the interpretation of it to others.
