One is Gone but Most Remain

Growing up, music played a tug-of-war with my heart and my mind. I like most genres. But the soft spot is the category “Old Folkie”: I aspire to that one. (Harry Chapin wrote a song called that about Pete Seeger, both of them now gone but not forgotten.)

Here is a selection of my favourites from Canada:

Bruce Cockburn

Buffy Sainte-Marie

Gordon Lightfoot

Ian & Sylvia

Joni Mitchell

Leonard Cohen

Murray McLauchlan

Neil Young

Valdy

Conclusion

I saw Harry Chapin in concert in Vancouver before he died. You couldn’t ask for a better performer. But he was American, and therefore wouldn’t qualify in this post, except for the fact of that song about Pete Seeger…

I am an Astrologer who also writes about world events. My first eBook "At This Point in Time" is available through most on-line book stores. I have now serialized my second book "The Star of Bethlehem" here. And I am experimenting with birth and death charts.
