My father died in October 1987. I wasn’t aware of this fact until 2007, twenty years later.

He visited me in the early days of 1988, and I wrote a post about that ‘visitation’ a few years ago. Now I want to revisit the event, and look at it astrologically.

The original chart is shown in the 2015 post, as linked above. Now I’m going to show how the event is connected to me, personally.

It’s all about Father

I didn’t expect to see such clear signs when I set about to look at an event that has had a profound effect on me, but why am I surprised? The Universe does everything when the planets align. Why should this one be any different?

The Ascendant is perfectly timed to transit my natal Saturn, the ‘father’ in my birth chart. And the transiting Jupiter (expansion) and Venus (love) are forming a Finger of God (Yod) pointing at my natal Saturn. That makes this one ‘special’: “expanding love”.

The other indicator is Pluto transiting my natal Moon. I just knew in my heart that my mother would be involved. All is revealed!

At any rate, I had considered looking at the event from the point of view of my father’s birth chart, but now I think I’ll just leave it alone. It’s enough to know he cared…
