Back to The Future Trilogy (1985-1990)
This is my second attempt to write this post. I’m not sure what happened to the first one. Maybe if I went back in time, I could see what I did wrong. (See what I did there?)
Most of us regular folk don’t have a DeLorean, so travelling back through that one-way road (time) isn’t very likely, at the present moment. But a person can dream…
And did you notice how the DeLorean Motor Company badge on the front grill is facing two ways: to the past, and to the future? A bit like Janus, the Roman god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions.
So, some of us are now looking back on the recent past, before the novel coronavirus, wishing we could go there again. The rest of us are looking toward whatever the future might bring, with all of its possibilities. How appropriate.
Like the words (slightly changed for this post) of the song:
“I wish I could McFly away…”
So, if you have a spare 90 minutes or so, take a look at this documentary from 2015 (the 30th anniversary of the first movie).
