I gaze into her eyes (soft-colored blue, gazing back),
She smiles,
I grin,
And we hold hands.
She stares away from me (into the Vacuum of my mind);
She thinks about the future,
My love,
And me.
I tell her, “I’ll never go.” (she’s still unsure)
She shakes her head,
But not her mind,
Her thoughts.
I plead insanity (for words that have spilled from my lips),
She hears,
But shows no signs
To me.
Finally I make sense (to her understanding: she seems sure),
She takes my hand again,
Smiles,
And kisses me.
