Pluto Transits My Natal Mercury One Last Time (October 6, 2021)
Oh, sh*t. Just when I thought I was in the clear, Pluto decided to remind me that it’s not over until he moves forward again, after being retrograde, in 2021.
Up until now, I’d been pleased with myself for having survived three transits of Pluto with my natal Mercury during 2020. I forgot to look into 2021, too.
The hidden message is that this very close conjunction between transiting Pluto and my natal Mercury will bring to a close a very long two year self-examination which is starting to reach a crescendo this year. Here’s the combined chart to demonstrate what I mean.
This time, the conjunction is not ‘exact’ but close enough for jazz, being only 7′ apart @ 24° Capricorn. It is in my final degree of my 1st House of Personality. The transit Moon and Sun (and Mars) get in on the equation being conjunct to my natal South Node, Mars and Midheaven, while the transiting Midheaven is triggering my natal North Node in Aries. Finally, transiting Saturn is conjunct my natal Venus in Aquarius. That’s a lot of work going on at the same time.
October 6, 2021 is the 14th anniversary of my permanent return to Canada.
When Pluto transits your Mercury, you have to re-wire your brain. But first, you have to unlearn, to make a clean slate out of it. Tabula rasa. Staring into the void, dismantling every concept, prejudice and dogma that has been drilled into your head and give birth to what philosopher John Locke described as the “free, self-authored mind”. In a nutshell, it’s about reverse-engineering your own thought patterns, questioning them, and deepen your understanding of yourself and the world around you.Your Mind on Pluto
