Here’s the Real (Captain) McCoy

William Frederick McCoy (August 17, 1877 – December 30, 1948)

1921

One of the astrologers on WordPress hides behind the name CaptMcCoy. I’m not familiar with American bootleggers in history, so of course I missed the significance of this nom de plume. When I sent an email to the email address on file, I asked him if I could call him Jeremy. I didn’t get a response.

William McCoy was an honest lawbreaker. You’ll see what I mean when I share his birth chart with you.

The timing is randomized, but seemingly correct. That Jupiter/Ascendant @ 24° Sagittarius speaks volumes to me. However, the inconjuncts will flesh this out for whomever is interested:

Mars Inconjunct Midheaven

This aspect can mean that you have mixed feelings about all authority figures, including your parents. You may feel that you have to violate the rules laid down by your parents in order to get your way. This is a significant problem, because if it continues into adulthood, you will have great difficulties with employers. Therefore it is very important that your parents teach you how to express your self-assertive drives without going against their teachings. Unfortunately it is impossible to state how that should be done, because the conflict between self-will, on one hand, and self-denial and work, on the other, is different for each person.

Jupiter Inconjunct Pluto

You have a great deal of creative power, and the major challenge of your life will be learning how to handle it. First of all, you must realize that you will get the most out of life if you direct your energies toward helping the people around you and those you love. You will want to change many conditions in the world, which is fine as long as your reasons are not purely selfish ones.

If you use the energies of this aspect selfishly, you will have serious conflicts with authorities, people in power, and adults in general. You may try to make changes before you have learned how to do so creatively, without provoking such resistance that your efforts are blocked.

Saturn Inconjunct Midheaven

Unless you are truly supported by your family and friends, you will begin to feel lonely and isolated from others and inferior to them. Also you are likely to have very serious difficulties with authority figures, because you are afraid of how they will treat you, not expecting that anyone will ever give you the loving guidance you need. You will see all authorities only as potential treats to your freedom and as sources of pain and trouble.

Pluto Inconjunct Ascendant

This can be an indication that through experiences with others, you will be forced to undergo many significant changes in life. At times the crises may be quite unpleasant, but for the most part the results will be very positive, although for some people, they may be less constructive. But you must be very careful about the kind of people you get involved with. Choose your friends with great care and try to find people who have a healthy outlook on life and who seem reasonably well balanced. People who are driven to extreme behavior or who act compulsively, as if they could not plan anything in advance, are not very good for you. They will get you into difficult situations that you do not need.

Conclusion

If this is the hero of the unnamed blogger/astrologer that I’ve been communicating with, I may need to back off permanently, for fear of guilt by association. Sorry, Jeremy, if this is a bit too close to the bone.
