Sometimes, the opening images of a series can tell the whole story in a few words. Elsa Dutton’s internalized words were underscored by an Indian attack that destroyed the pioneer wagons and killed their occupants.

This is the origin story of the Dutton family’s journey to Yellowstone Ranch in Paradise Valley.

My only quibble is that the wild West is so attractive for Americans that the law of the gun permeates the United States, even now. Sure it was the overly simplistic way to tame the country, but many, many, many people paid the ultimate price for freedom.
