It’s October: Time to Get Spooked Out

FROM (2022 – 2024)

In the run-up to Hallowe’en, TV and streaming services have a penchant for trying to weird us out.

Normally, Susan and I wouldn’t touch this type of entertainment with a barge pole. But Susan’s family kept telling her that this series is ‘wonderful’, so, obviously, we had to see what’s going on. We have seen the first two episodes, and, no doubt, will see more, but will we get through all thirty episodes? Who knows.

This is another TV series filmed in Canada, this time in Nova Scotia. My clue was the actor who plays the minister is a long-time member of the “This Hour Has 22 Minutes” show on the CBC.

Shaun Majumder as Father Rudra Khatri

My opinion is watch at your own peril. The episodes (seen so far) contain unresolved tensions that you carry away with you into your ordinary life. If you are extra sensitive, give this horror show a miss.

It’s beginning to feel after twenty episodes that this is a cross between Big Brother and the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
