Depression (really) Starts? (July 4, 1931)

Ninety-five years ago today, the Stock Market crashed. Historians consider that to be the start of the Great Depression. But, ‘something’ wants me to look at Independence Day 1931, instead. I wonder why?

Everything about this chart is arbitrary and speculative, and yet the resulting Ascendant in Libra is conjunct to the South Node. That implies that something happened in previous times that is echoed here.

Moon Inconjunct Ascendant

You tend to put your own emotional needs and wants second to whatever you feel has to be done. In other words, you are likely to be more disciplined emotionally than most people. But this is not good if you feel that your emotional needs are not important. Your needs must be fulfilled as much as anyone else’s, particularly because your feelings are really very powerful within yourself.

Because the timing is arbitrary, this description may be accidently correct. Still, it is interesting.

Independence Day (July 4, 2024)

This year has had some very challenging aspects. And, as the 4th year since COVID-19, the inflation/deflation financial concerns are starting to bite. Americans are not exactly suffering a depression, but when people cannot make their monetary ends meet, what’s the difference?

Hmm. Neptune on the Descendant: is this all a smokescreen? The Grand Trine of Uranus/Pluto/Ascendant is concerning. But this time, the Moon is conjunct the (arbitrary) Midheaven, so this could be a portend for something affecting the general population. The Moon/Midheaven is the apex of a Grand Trine involving Neptune (Saturn) and the Virgo Ascendant. Let’s blame the other side!

OK. This is where it gets a little freaky. If I hadn’t been shown the 1931 date, we wouldn’t be looking at this situation. The Nodes are repeating their placements in 1931. In fact, the 2024’s Moon is conjunct 1931’s Venus, while 2024’s Venus is conjunct 1931’s Pluto. Meanwhile, 1931’s Neptune is inconjunct 2024’s Pluto, and opposite 1931’s Moon. It’s like a circular argument, just going round and around.

Are we about to be hit with another Great Depression? Next year’s Saturn/Neptune conjunction seems to suggest that possibility.

Hmm.
