O Canada! What are You Going to Do Now?

I took this photo in the fall. While looking for an illustration for today’s post, I remembered it. Symbolic, eh?

My computer program has a chart for the beginning of Canada as an independent country. Of course, that’s the simple way of looking at it, when in fact it was a law passed in the British Parliament that ‘allowed’ Canada to be born. The British North America Act did it.

Those two Yods explain a lot. One is pointed at Jupiter, the other, at Saturn. Hmm. Church and State, again. And the South Node @ 17° Pisces reminds me that the Star of Bethlehem was formed by Jupiter and Saturn being conjunct on or about this same degree in Pisces.

It’s a little bit early to be predicting who will be our next Prime Minister, since the Liberals haven’t even chosen their next leader yet, but, as an exercise in astrological prognostication, I thought I would compare Canada’s ‘birth’ chart with Mark Carney’s and Pierre Poilievre’s.

At first glance I really like the look of the connections between these two charts. Carney is going to be popular, with the Moon in the 12th House (of the Unconscious) of Canada. But logically, that’s a given.

The question is: will he be the right man to lead Canada at this volatile time?

Dare I say it? Pierre Poilievre looks to be destined to become Prime Minister in 2025. His links to Canada look karmic, especially the North and South Nodes in his chart are just over 4° from Canada’s.

Even the country’s Saturn is closer to Poilievre’s Uranus, that it is to Carney’s Neptune. And, as proof of what we have seen for the past few years, Poilievre’s Mars is within 2° of Canada’s Pluto @ 15° Taurus.

Carney talked about Poilievre being a lifelong politician, the Sun/Mercury conjunction in Gemini is split by Canada’s Venus. And just to show that Carney isn’t the only one who is popular, especially among Conservatives, Poilievre has his Moon in Virgo in the country’s 12th House, too.

Conclusion

In a head-to-head matchup between Carney and Poilievre, either one could lead their party to an General Election victory. The only thing going against Mark Carney is the country being tired of the Liberal brand of politics. After almost 10 years, people want a change.
