What Can I Possibly Say About This Man?

John Denver (December 31, 1943 – October 12, 1997)

Sometimes, they say, it’s better to say nothing at all. But then I looked at his birth and death charts.

There are two Yods (Fingers of God), one pointing at the Sun, the other pointing at Mercury. Mercury’s inconjuncts are with Jupiter and Saturn. The Sun’s inconjuncts are with Pluto and the Gemini Ascendant.

That kind of says it all.

By the time of his plane accident, those inconjuncts are gone, replaced by a close Sun/Mercury conjunction in opposition to Saturn. “Times up!”

Comparing his birth and death charts a different pattern emerges:

His close natal Mars/Uranus conjunction with that same Gemini Ascendant is in direct opposition to his ‘fatal’ Pluto/Virgo/Mars conjunction in Sagittarius. His ‘fatal’ Moon is the apex of a Yod with his natal Neptune and Pluto. And his natal Jupiter is inconjunct with his ‘fatal’ Neptune. Hmm.

“Don’t know when I’ll be back again…”
