We All Love a Fairy Tale Ending, Don’t We?

And They Lived Happily Ever After

Or, in this case, “Foreverwood”, the finale of “Everwood”.A lot of story lines got tied up in pretty bows, and the future looked bright for most of the couples. The ‘villains’ of the story were banished, abandoned or forgotten. And, after 89 episodes, the kids finally realized their heart’s desire.

I loved Ephram’s startled expression when he came out his front door and saw a carnival Ferris wheel sitting there. It was really as if the actor hadn’t been told it was going to be featured in his and Amy’s final scene together. Either that, or he turned into a great actor. The maturity of the main characters after four seasons shouldn’t have been a surprise, but it still amazed me.

Obviously, the producers knew that their show wouldn’t be renewed for yet another season. So no loose ends, and they will live happily Everwood after.
