The Wolf and the Lion (2021)

Sure, everyone loves a feel-good story, and this one had so many awkward moments, I knew it had to be true, even though the filming of it was somehow false.

The actress’ smile covered over most of the awkwardness, but there was no disguising the interplay between the two creatures. The lion’s actions, when they are both older, showed how he would be tackling the wolf, as if it were a gazelle or a zebra. All the wolf could do was try to evade its clutches.

For this reason, I wouldn’t recommend it for younger audiences, even though that was the intention of the producers. The implied trauma is more devastating than a Disney cartoon. Watch at your own discretion. It’s on Paramount+.
