The Trap (2026)

This is a six-part Netflix series, originally filmed in German, but dubbed into English for the rest of us.

I’m writing this post after watching half of the show. My reason is simple: the third episode had a sequence towards the end where Lisa’s faithful dog was missing from her recluse’s mansion. When she gets to the pet door, she sees him laying on the ground, his leg caught in a trap. Oh-oh, says I, this doesn’t bode well for Lisa, since she devised a trap to catch the killer of her sister, Anna. I cannot remember such an obvious symbol telegraphing a show’s potential ending. We’ll see if my premonition is correct tonight, when we watch the final three episodes.
