In the autumn of 2003, I took some photos of Dianne with her daughters and grandson. She was celebrating a birthday, and it was my intention to record it on film. However, when the prints came back from processing, there were unexpected flares in three of the shots (two other pictures taken on the same day, but not at the same time, were clear). Was it a camera malfunction, or something else?
A Possibility
My mom died on the 13th of May 2003. She and Dianne used to get along famously (and I have the photographic proof of that). But we lived in Torquay, and the only way she and Dianne could talk was if we visited Canada, or she visited the UK. Otherwise, they wrote to each other.
In my opinion I think that Mom came to wish Dianne a “Happy Birthday” one last time. And the camera saw what we humans didn’t. Bless.
I also have a picture of one of our dogs seemingly superimposed over the image of the other, after his death. I will post the photo on its own.
