I saw a post on Facebook today saying it was Justin Trudeau’s 45th birthday. In the back of my mind, I knew this wasn’t true, but I’d forgotten that he was born on Christmas Day. Here’s his birth chart:

Character Traits

We are so used to politicians being liars and cheats, we automatically decide that they are hiding something nasty or nefarious. With Justin, what you see is what you get.

Feminist

There are so many hints in his chart that point to the fact that he really does walk the talk about equality of the sexes. Both Pluto and Uranus are in Libra, for example: this gives him the ability to be the voice of reason for his generation. He also has Venus in Aquarius, an energy with which I am personally aware. His Mars is in the spiritual sign of Pisces. His feminism is ‘real’ in a way that is unusually unexpected.

Self-Critical

His Ascendant is Virgo: this makes him a perfectionist, and when he makes mistakes (as he will do, because he’s human, too) he will beat himself up. The Opposition don’t really need to do very much to ‘correct’ his behaviour, as he will have already seen where he’s been ‘less than’ his own high standards.

Impulsive

The Moon in Aries shows me that he has a hot temper. If provoked, he will lash out. Nothing new there, I’m sure, but this may be due to the lack of security from his childhood. The Moon represents “Mother” in the chart, and his experience would have been coloured by the feeling that he could never depend on her for support. As an adult, this can be seen as a feeling of fickleness of public opinion.

Good Listener

Several aspects in his chart shows that Justin may be a good listener with an appreciation of what is going on behind the scenes, and his major focus is as a peace-maker, one who wants to be seen as fair and equitable in trade relations and the world stage. He finds the spotlight of world attention a blessing and a curse. He likes the limelight, but he also likes to work behind the scenes as part of a team. It has the effect of making him appear changeable. His does appreciate innovation and dreams of better days ahead. He is also a good planner for the future, although he can feel frustration when his vision isn’t shared by everyone.

His Career

If ever there was anyone who was meant to be Prime Minister of Canada, it is Justin: his Saturn is in the Tenth House of Career, conjunct his Midheaven (in Gemini). As Saturn represents the “Father” in the birth chart, this means that he is following in his father’s footsteps, in a BIG way. But he has respect for the past, and the law and is rather small ‘c’ conservative in nature. As a Sun in Capricorn individual, he will never consciously break the rules, but he will work to change them, if they need to be changed.

Conclusion

Justin Trudeau is a very nice man: so says his chart. His charm and personality will carry him a long way in life, and he will let us ride on his coattails. Lucky us!
