Everybody Look What’s Going Down

The CBC relaunched their flagship news program on November 6, 2017.

 

 

There is a technical sound which can be heard at about 4:10 of the clip above. It’s a repeating motif, the musical equivalent of ‘check-check’.

For the longest time (three months to the day), I have been trying to figure out what that sound is. It dawned on me in these early hours of today: It’s the sound of a clicker.

It would be the audio signal to show that a sequence has ended, with another beginning.

Mystery solved!
