If you’ve watched PBS’ Masterpiece Mystery! recently, you would have seen this latest ‘cold case’ TV show from the BBC.

From the first season, here are the names and faces of some of the senior guest stars.

Peter Egan

There were loads of female stars, too. But the acting centred around these senior citizens.

Conclusion

Character actors have always been the main staple of British crime shows. Just ask anyone who has ever seen Midsomer Murders or Marple, for example. They might not be starring in films anymore, but they sure can bring gravitas to the roles they play.

Maybe there’s hope for the rest of us, too.
