Do I Have to Say the Words?
Donald Trump has done it again, but this time he has spoken for more than just the ‘Silent Majority’. He has also spoken for the Native American population.
But he won’t get that.
We’re in the preliminary part of the Presidential election, and Trump thinks that he needs to say out loud what other (Republican) Americans are thinking. If it resonates with them, he thinks it’ll get him re-elected. He thinks his base is strong.
But, and there’s always a ‘but’, his recent attack on Progressive Democrats ‘of colour’ has not divided his political opponents, but united them, instead.
That’s not what he intended.
Impeachment
Trump also wants to goad his enemies into action. He knows that they could not possibly oust him from the White House ahead of 2020, so he wants them to try, because then his supporters will become much more vocal.
The senior Democratic leaders know that it’s a fools game, so they are trying to keep their ranks patient enough to inflict a greater victory over Trump by defeating him at the polls. But that means that Trump will continue to poke their hornet’s nest with a non-PC stick.
Conclusion
I noted earlier that the Moon would eclipse Saturn several times over the next six months. This past weekend’s Twitter tirade was another of those events. It didn’t really accomplish anything significant, but it did remind us that Trump’s political aim is to get re-elected.
We shall see.
