A Visit from St. Nicholas (December 23, 1823)
Who says you can’t create the birth chart of a legendary figure? I, for one, think you can.
In 1821, the book A New-year’s present, to the little ones from five to twelve was published in New York. It contained Old Santeclaus with Much Delight, an anonymous poem describing Santeclaus on a reindeer sleigh, bringing rewards to children. Some modern ideas of Santa Claus seemingly became canon after the anonymous publication of the poem “A Visit From St. Nicholas” (better known today as “The Night Before Christmas”) in the Troy, New York, Sentinel on 23 December 1823; Clement Clarke Moore later claimed authorship, though some scholars argue that Henry Livingston, Jr. (who died nine years before Moore’s claim) was the author. St. Nick is described as being “chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf” with “a little round belly”, that “shook when he laughed like a bowlful of jelly”, in spite of which the “miniature sleigh” and “tiny reindeer” still indicate that he is physically diminutive. The reindeer were also named: Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Dunder and Blixem (Dunder and Blixem came from the old Dutch words for thunder and lightning, which were later changed to the more German sounding Donner and Blitzen).Wikipedia
I chose one second past midnight of the publication date for A Visit from St. Nicholas, since it would have been ready overnight. The resulting chart is spectacular, to say the least. Only two of the aspects are benign: Moon sextile Venus and Moon trine Saturn. The rest of the chart is made up of a multi-layered Cosmic Cross, with only an opposition between Venus and Saturn cutting through diagonally.
Any astrologer worth their salt would recognize the power of Mars (conjunct Ascendant) in opposition to Pluto @ 0° Aries. It is probably why Santa Claus is such a polarizing figure.

You sometimes find it difficult to get along with others. You may feel picked on, as if people were working against you for no particular reason. However, that is not usually true. But without being aware of it, you may be doing things that set others against you. You are very intense about yourself, and you may give the impression unknowingly that you will do whatever you want, and that nothing and no one will stand in your way. This can scare people, even when you have no intention of doing so.
Merry Christmas, everyone!
