Do You Think He Spent Some Time in “Wonderland”?

Lewis Carroll (January 27, 1832 – January 14, 1898)

We’ve all read (or seen) “Alice in Wonderland” (under its various titles). The story comes from the imagination of Lewis Carroll, a man little understood by the world.

This time is considered correct, as it is from a biography of Carroll. I wonder about the Moon conjunct Ascendant @ 3° Sagittarius.

Moon in Sagittarius

You are an idealist who wants the world to be grand and good and beautiful. You want people to be good and noble and are very disappointed when they are not. Unless you learn to take people as they come, you will always be disappointed.

You are so concerned with the important things in life that sometimes you forget about little matters that really have to be done. On the other hand, you may get interested in many far-reaching subjects as you try to learn more about the world. You are very curious and want to know the answer to every question.

As you get older, you may become more concerned with religion, and even while young, you may ask deep questions about God and other such matters. When you are an adult, you will be interested in any subject that teaches you more about the universe and your place in it.

You make an impression on others largely through your emotions. People always know how you feel about something, because you make no effort to hide it. Some may accuse you of wearing your heart on your sleeve, but most people will like you for it. You have the kind of honesty that others appreciate. This aspect means that you understand how people feel, and you can make them see your point of view. You sympathize with others, and in turn they are sympathetic to you. When you are older, you will be able to appeal to the feelings of the public at large, who will feel that you are one of them. politicians, salespeople and others who appear before the public often have this aspect in their charts.

Regardless of your own sex, you will get along quite well with women, who may bring you great benefits at times. But you must learn to be responsible in the way you use this ability to attract women, or people will consider you false and deceitful.

Your childhood years will be important to you all your life, even more than for most people. It is important that you grow up in a peaceful and serene environment.

There is one inconjunct.

This aspect indicates a serious conflict in your life between freedom and restriction. Many people have this conflict, but in your case the tensions may be so severe that you express them physically as muscle tension and possibly nervousness. You feel that somehow you must keep everything in your life under tight control, that if you let go, the whole structure will fall apart. In a very real and direct sense, even while you are young, you must learn to relax.

On the positive side, if you can learn to live with this tension a bit and express your feelings and emotions before they reach the breaking point, you can be extremely patient and persistent. You will be able to accomplish many tasks that others would give up on, if you do not hold in all your feelings and desires for freedom.

I believe that when you and I come to lie down for the last time, if only we can keep firm hold of the great truths Christ taught us—our own utter worthlessness and His infinite worth; and that He has brought us back to our one Father, and made us His brethren, and so brethren to one another—we shall have all we need to guide us through the shadows. Most assuredly I accept to the full the doctrines you refer to—that Christ died to save us, that we have no other way of salvation open to us but through His death, and that it is by faith in Him, and through no merit of ours, that we are reconciled to God; and most assuredly I can cordially say, “I owe all to Him who loved me, and died on the Cross of Calvary.”

    Lewis Carroll’s look is more aligned to J R R Tolkien’s than anyone else’s.
