To Rolling Stone, He’s the 4th Greatest Guitarist

Eddie Van Halen (January 26, 1955 – October 6, 2020)

It’s not often that one can get accurate birth and death details for a celebrated personality. Eddie Van Halen is the exception, for sure. And I’m coming to this individual because Cash Peters posted his transition video this morning on YouTube.

An almost exact conjunction between Neptune and his Ascendant @ 28° Libra shows that he was meant to be on stage, performing to the best of his ability. It also hints that his ‘work’ was inspired. There are two inconjuncts.

Mercury Inconjunct Jupiter

You like to think big, and you have great ambitions, but you don’t always make sure that your thinking is clear or careful. When you make any kind of plan, be careful. Don’t try to take on more than you can handle and make sure not to overlook details, for that could hurt what you are trying to do. Careful planning will help you develop disciplined habits in other areas as well.

However, you may be inclined to preach about morality, because you enjoy being right and letting others know that they do not live up to your “high” standards. But sometimes you fake it; you aren’t as “good” as you pretend to be. Be careful of this, for you could be known as a hypocrite. It’s fine to set high standards and live up to them, but do not pretend to be better than you are. And let others decide on their own moral standards.

Mercury Inconjunct Uranus

You are quite inventive. You can see solutions to problems quicker than most, and you may be good at designing. Model building and other activities that develop your design sense and ability to see in three dimensions would be very useful. Also these exercises would help you learn to concentrate.

This aspect might mean that you have nervous problems, such as a tendency to get exhausted or a sensitive disposition that requires a very calm environment in order to prevent further problems.

Neptune Conjunct Ascendant

Very often when people with this aspect get in touch with their real feelings, they make the astonishing discovery that they can project themselves to others in many ways, as if they have different personalities for different people and situations. You may or may not be a professional actor, but you will probably do quite a bit of acting in your everyday life. Just try to avoid getting a reputation for being deceptive and untrustworthy. At your core you have to be honest with others, even if you enjoy seeming mysterious and elusive.

Performance magic…
