Lenny Bruce (October 13, 1925 – August 3, 1966)
Honestly, I didn’t ever expect to look at this standup comedian. Of course, I knew about him, from the news stories, but, with such a passage of time, it was small reminder from the past that opened this door.

Like yesterday’s post about the Eiffel Tower, here is Yod pointing at Uranus, the revolutionary planet, but this time formed by inconjuncts to the Sun, Mercury and Neptune. I won’t delineate the aspects, because you can read about his life’s story, here.
No, the point of this post is the detail revealed in this recording from Simon and Garfunkel:
My curiosity was peaked by the detail in the 7 o’clock news that Lenny Bruce died that day. That meant I could work out when the newscast was aired on radio: August 3, 1966.
So, the joke (that isn’t funny) I mentioned in the title of this piece is that no matter how much time has passed, there are still wars going on, the US government can’t agree on things, people was still marching for equality, and a former president says things just to upset the press.
When will we ever learn?

Peace at last? Only when we’re dead.
Fascinating! All the more so when read in conjunction with the Wikipedia biog.
