Fifteen Years Ago Today, She was Killed, but By Whom?

Ellen Greenberg (June 23, 1983 – January 26, 2011)

I’d never heard of this miscarriage of justice before yesterday, when Ellie Burck posted a video on YouTube discussing this cold case.

Honestly, how could her death ever have been deemed a suicide? The knife wounds in the back of her neck would have been impossible to do to herself. I suggested to Ellie that splitting the difference between the time she was last seen (timestamped) and when she was pronounced dead (by a doctor) might yield some interesting insights.

That Sun/Mars (blow to the head) conjunction in the 7th House (open enemies) of her fatal chart is interesting. What I wasn’t expecting was the echo in her birth chart (conjunct her North Node) in Gemini, as seen through the lens of her fatal chart’s 12th House. Had she been murdered before, in a past life? Was she afraid it might happen again, thereby unconsciously pushing someone else’s buttons?

The fiancé is the most likely killer. But he’s not helping the reopened investigation. It’s not hard to work out why. Maybe, I should look at his birth chart, too, just to see the dynamic between them. However, his birth details are missing. Sam Goldberg was quoted in the article in People Magazine:

However, Ellen’s fiancé, Sam Goldberg, who found her deceased in the kitchen of their shared apartment after telling investigators that he initially found the door locked, told CNN in an e-mail statement that he believes that her death was a result of “mental illness.”

“When Ellen took her own life it left me bewildered,” Sam told the outlet. “She was a wonderful and a kind person who had everything to live for. When she died a part of me died with her.”

“Unimaginably, in the years that have passed I have had to endure the unimaginable passing of my future wife and the pathetic and despicable attempts to desecrate my reputation and her privacy by creating a narrative that embraces lies, distortions and falsehoods in order to avoid the truth,” he continued. “Mental illness is very real and has many victims.”

“I hope and pray that you never lose someone you love like I did to a terrible disease and then be accused by ignorant and misinformed people of causing her death. If you’re really writing a truthful story, dig deeper, and please do some good by raising awareness for mental health,” Sam concluded.

So, the question is: who exactly was suffering from “mental illness”, Ellen or Sam? I wonder.
