No. It’s much more than that. Americans are afraid of China getting their foot in their economy through the ‘backdoor’ route. Trying to restrict who Canada trades with is a tactic to ‘protect’ their own industries.

Canada will never become the 51st states, although there are hints that maybe Alberta might. We’ll see.
