Bone Scan

This is the final test of three, ostensibly to see if there is any cancer in my bones, in any part of my body.

The experience is unsettling, to be sure. I got my injection at 10:30 am, and I was scheduled to return for the scan at 2:45 pm. Exactly how it all works is beyond my understanding, but I suspect the machine takes a continuous photo of my bones to see if anything is wrong with them.

You have remain totally still. The camera rotates around your body to cover the waist, the chest, the head, and then the lower limbs. Normally, one can keep their eyes closed, but I just had to peek to see what was going on. Forty-five minutes later, it was all over. I wonder what it will reveal to my specialist.

My next eVisit with him is November 12th. I’ll let you know, then.
