Joy (2015)

It’s hard to believe that this little gem of a movie is three years old. They had it on TV the other night. It still makes me cry (well, that’s not really too difficult, as I feel great empathy for a great many things). And Jennifer Lawrence was perfect for the lead role.

What made this significant was the fact that one day later, Bradley Cooper suggested to Lady Gaga after their rehearsal of “Shallow” (her song from “A Star Is Born“) for the Oscars show that perhaps they could ‘drop a little bit of joy’ into their performance, I immediately thought of this movie that he starred in with Lawrence.

And if ever there was an actor with the ‘golden’ touch, it’s Bradley Cooper. Well done, sir.
