The Final Days of “Peter” Radisson

First Paragraph of his Last Will and Testament

Looks like I should not have trusted the resources I used yesterday. They state that Pierre’s death and burial were unknown. Small detail: they (and I) forgot to look for information regarding Peter Radisson. This yielded two gems: the image above and the one following:

The entry, second from the bottom, shows that he died on June 21st, 1710, and was buried at St. Clement Danes Parish Church, Westminster, London, England.

But what is more interesting is his last known address as stated in the first line of the will: Clare Court.

I’m not sure if it looked this way in 1710, but I have to admit the address is an impressive one. But now I have to revise Radisson’s death date to June 21st. This equates to July 2nd in the Gregorian calendar. (I’ve left the time at 9 am, since I have no way of knowing if it correct or not.)
